Paisley RFC won their first league game of the season against Moffat Rugby Club 16 points to 7. Moffat scored first with a converted try, Paisley replied with two penalties from veteran fly half Gavin Newlands taking the score at half time to 7-6 in Moffats favour.

After the half time break Paisley scored two tries through Michael Sommerville after some fine interplay and by Ian Livingstone who scored a fine individual try to go over in the corner. Man of the Match was Andrew Judge for a fine display at blind side flanker.

After the victory the general feeling in the Paisley camp is that there is much to improve on for the next game. Especially pleasing was the four debutants in the first XV who all looked as if they had been playing their for years.
