U14: Greenock 14 - Paisley 21 PDF Print E-mail

After last weeks resounding victory a confident Paisley team travelled down to Greenock determined to keep their good run of results going.
The game started well with both teams playing good rugby with the defences managing to stay on top.

Paisley made the breakthrough with Thomas Millar finishing off a fine attacking move, with Martin Mckellar scoring the conversion.

Greenock scored next due to some poor defending but missed the conversion.

The forwards piled on the pressure by driving Greenock back from just inside the half way line ending with Lloyd Stevenson going over to score an excellent try. The usually reliable Martin Mckellar hit the upright with his conversion attempt.
At this point both teams traded scores, as neither were able to dominate and gain the upper hand. Paisley scrum half Jack Wilson is growing in confidence with every game and was making some fine runs from the back of the scrum.
Towards the end of the third period Paisley managed to pull away with a succession of tries with Martin Mckellar finding his form again and making the conversions.

In the end it was a fairly comfortable win for Paisley, who next week face a stern test with the visit of G.H.A. to Paisley.

We are looking for players of all ages and experience who wish to play rugby in a safe and fun environment.
