Paisley RFC Under 15 Squad have done exactly that... with two wins from two under thier belts, are looking string and a formidable side for anyone to compete against.
Having opened the season with a convincing win at Stewartry, 84 - 5, playing with 13 men against Stewartry's 15, Paisley looked toward a tougher opposition in week two. Dumfries were to make the journey to Anchor last Sunday, visiting an upbeat, well organised Paisley side. Kick off was delayed 20 minutes due to traffic problems for the visitors, allowing Paisley to tweak their set piece plays and relax before kick off. With tries coming from Cameron Perry, two from captain Ewan Perry and Darryl Still, Paisley battled hard up front and moved the ball well through the backs. Dumfries kept the game within their sights, but Man of the Match Ewan Perry made sure Paisley edged clear by converting two tries and executing a difficult Penalty. Notable performances came from prop Allistair Griffith and Number 8 Mark Borland, both of whom made breakdown after breakdown, stole ball and carried it forward in the tight. Little winger Grant Berry also impressed in his knew role of star lineout jumper securing Paisley ball and disrupting Dumfires lineout all day. Paisley ran out the winners by 27 - 21. Next Match - Sunday 17th September 2006, Cambusland (Away), 3pm Kick off. |
